About Me

Hello Warren County High School Parents and Students.  My name is Penny Shockley and I serve as the Curriculum and Evaluation Principal at the school.  I also act as the Building Testing Coordinator and Instructional Coordinator.
I have been in education since 1998.  I began my  teaching career in the Science content area, teaching Chemistry, Physical Science, Ecology, and many other courses.  In 2008 I was given the opportunity to be an administrator at the school.  I served as a grade level principal for one year before assuming my current position in 2009.
I am a 1992 graduate of Warren County High School.  I started my post secondary education at Motlow State Community College.  I received my Bachelor's Degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1998.  I returned to college at Tennessee Tech University for my Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership in 2000, graduating with that degree in 2002 and continued on for my Educational Specialist degree, which I received in 2003.
I have been the coach and director of the Warren County High School Pioneerettes Dance Team for almost 20 years.  I was a member of the team from 1989-1992 We won the 1991 National Dance Team Championship in the Pom division.  As a coach I helped the team continue their success by winning the 1998 & 1999 UDA National Championships in the Small Prop Division.  The team has received numerous state awards and were named the TSSAA State Pom Champions in 2011 & 2012.  Most recently the team was named the 2016 CheerSport National Champions in the Pom Division.
I am the lucky mother of two children, Jakob & Kataen, who attend school in the Warren County School District.
I hope you have a wonderful year at Warren County High School!  Please contact me if I can do anything to help you throughout the year.
