September 16th-20th is College Application Week in Tennessee
Mrs. Shauna Brock and Mrs. Kelsey West have set up the following events:
 Monday, September 16th: TN Tech rep will be in the computer lab from 9:00 am -12:00 pm
Thursday, September 19th: MTSU rep will be in the computer lab from 9:00 am -12:00 pm 
Friday, September 20th: UTK rep will be in the computer lab starting at 10:30 am
If suitable, please allow students to visit the reps at some point during their time here.

Congratulations / Thank You / Good Luck

The Pioneer Raider Team had another great performance this weekend. Excessive heat and fatigue would not hold them back at the Fairview HS JROTC “Bring the Sting” Raider Challenge. All of their hard work earned them the following wins.
1st Place Cross Country Rescue
2nd Place Rope Bridge
2nd Place Rope Climb
2nd Place Highlander
All of this led to the team winning the 3rd Place overall out of 31 teams. 
In addition, the Battalion Commander, Nathan Holmstrom was awarded the “Best Leader” award which earned the team a $500 scholarship. It was an amazing day for the Pioneers.
State Championships at Soddy Daisy is next weekend.

General Information
The Coffee Shop in the Pioneer Pantry will be open at 7:00 am on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays this year!

Travel for Summer 2020
Students and teachers if you are interested in joining a travel group to Paris and Italy next summer please join us for a meeting on September 17 at 6:00 pm in room 224.  If you have any questions or would like additional information please contact Keri McGiboney in Guidance or Thomas Parker in room 251.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Excel Club meetings will be held immediately after school on the third Tuesday of each month in room 250. Next meeting is 9/17/19. Returning and prospective members are welcome to attend. New members can pick up an application in room 250. Please have applications turned in by 9/17/19. Excel remind code @wcexcel

Congratulations to our WCHS Freshmen Football on their big win last night over Coffee County 38-14! Go Pioneers!

The Pioneer Raider Team had another great performance this weekend. Excessive heat and fatigue would not hold them back at the Fairview HS JROTC “Bring the Sting” Raider Challenge. All of their hard work earned them the following wins.
1st Place Cross Country Rescue, 2nd Place Rope Bridge, 2nd Place Rope Climb, 2nd Place Highlander
All of this led to the team winning the 3rd Place overall out of 31 teams. 
In addition, the Battalion Commander, Nathan Holmstrom was awarded the “Best Leader” award which earned the team a $500 scholarship. It was an amazing day for the Pioneers.
State Championships at Soddy Daisy is next weekend.

There will be a meeting for all AP students interested in taking AP exams this Thursday, September 19 during homeroom in the auditorium. 
The deadline to register for AP exams is October 4, 2019.
